Uni, Mountians, Wigs, Whacked, China, Bananas

haven’t caught up for ages so here goes the last two weeks!!

this was monday morning at uni, it was crazy, i dont know how you are supposed to get your work noticed when it is crushed into a space less than a meter squares, sorrounded by lie 200 other students. well i do believe that my portfolio was stand out if nothing else and im hapy its over for the year.

so i finished uni and i had this weird felling of what should i do, i still dont really feel comfortable enough with anyone in my calss to go to the bar with them at 10am!! and all my international friends haden finished yet, soo i went to the movies by myself which is a lovley thing to do!! then at like 5 when lillian had had her hand in we met up at Workshop, our favourite bar by far and we had some drinks, i txt all the gang to see if any of them wanted to come for a drink, within 2 mins Mo and Roy were there, nice going guys!! then steyn and Maud came along too, it was lovley its always a very satisfying feeling to be done for the whoe year!! the most awesome thing that happened this night though was that we decided we felt like going on a trip,

soooo the next moining we jumped in the car Roy drove us, mo sat in the front and like the small children we are Maud and Styen and i squished into the backseat!! we drove fot 5 hours to the Grampians national park and when we got there we Climbed a mountian, its called Mount Abrupt, (cause its Abrupt) its got a great clif face down one side, and a fucken awesome view, i really love rocks, and i also love climing out onto cliff edges and dangling my legs!!

that night we camped, it was soooo sweet, it was a lovley qiet campground and we could make an awesome camp fire, and its a fun group to go out with and stuff, well Roy does always give me shit and mock me, but i give it back, he is like my arsehole Brother i never had!! lol

soooo next day we swa some pretty sweet waterfalls then got back on the road again, Road trip song for this trip would have to be New Slang-The Shins, ill always rember huddling under the blanket in the back with maud and steyn cause Roy refused to close his window!!!!

The reason we had to get back early is beacuse Maud and Lilian and i had an engagement, AKA my Uni end of year party Theme INCOGNITO. The funnest part of the evening for sure was dressing up with red lips and Black wigs and taking photos of ourselves, we looked soooo different! For some reason i was a bit off the whole party, Maud and lil could tell. I dont really know why. the booze was free and the costumes were funny. But I felt i was still an outsider after 6 months i still didnt feel that close with anyone. all i could really do is look foward to how cool our Unitec grad party will be!!

this day i took Styen shopping for a suit for the races…. mmmmmm men in suits!

This week i worked alot, you see the boss at work fired the manager cause she was crazy, all in all it is better for everyone but it leaves us with like 4 staff alltogether to cover floor and Bar sooo ive been a busy girl, should be ritch soon!!

On Sunday though we went surfing! and although i had done the exact trip before and i had to work till 2am the morning before i was up at 7am to catch the train to Gelong, the reason being Topi asked, and i cant say no!! Having said that it was great fun, Jenny and Topi and Marko and i had some retail at the surf shop outlets, i know, very un me! then we surfed and surfed and i was still shitty at it but having fun! jenny Ran me over and whaked me in the head with her board hard, so i was mildly concussed for the day, that made it all great fun!

on tuesday we got up bright and early and styen and i dressed in our Melbourne cup Finery. we met Lilian and Laura at melbourne central and got on the crammed full train to flemmington. when there we proceded to sit on a park bench on the train platform and observe the outfits and drink goon from drinkbottles, this is not easy considering it was 10am, so we sat there for about an hour and a half untill the police came and shuffled us along, we entered the races, did some betting then met up wit all the rest of the gang they had a good spot near the finish line and we had brought a picknick blanket and umbrella so set up, the day consisted of more drinking eating and lying in the sun, chatting to new friends, and the occasional yelling at horses that ran in circles. it was brill!!
that evening we woluld have done something but were feeling kinda hungover so we watched movies and fell asleep on the couch!

on fri after work i felt like going home but roy convinced me into one drink, so we headed to croft and met with some other exchangees, mo and the danes, after a while it closed and soo Roy and Mo and i went along to a flash coctail bar called 1806, we just chilled out. really there was one moment when i thaught out loud what am i doing with a 29yr old German and a 27yr old auzzie in some bar at 4am, but the funniest thing really is that i feel totally comfortable with both of them!! Then we went to China bar open 24 hours we had some chineese food and when we walked out it was light! the sun was coming up,i really wasnt drunk we had been doing more talking than drinking, but that walk home was one of my favourite melbourne experiences yet, everything was fresh but it was warm and it was a new day and it just felt good! i do like dawn. (bad name though!!) the victoria market was open soo we walked through, i bought an avacado, roy was hastling me to bargin with them so when i bought some bananas for $2 he was like come on $1.90!, the lady just laughed, then we went home to bed.

Saturday we held an engagement party for a greek couple at work, it was awesome with live music and everything and as the night went on and the crowd got drunker, adam the groom said, have some drinks put it on my tab which was an 8 grand bar tab, so we did, my golly that was the drunkest i have ever been at work, but none of the staff noticed cause they were all worse!! it was funny, ill rember this night by drunkenly polishing cutlery to sex on fire by kings of leon, love that song, and spilling the cutlery water on julians crutch, whoops!!

sunday Laura and i went for a lovley walk by the yarra river, and visited the shrine of rememberence, very fitting since anzac day was the next day. it was really awesome at sunset, we went to crown casino and had mocktails, I hate casinos.

on Monday the Great Ocean Road Tour begun, it was my first experience being a real tourist!

Last night working, and lilian and Marvin came and hung out at the bar the whole night. i was a busy girl though i was like running the whole restaurant by myself cause there was no other wait staff on!! i was rockin and we got nice tips,  by the time me and roy were done, Marvin and lilian were well pissy!! we went for a night cap at Prudence the rad bar on the corner by home and then went home, i had my first sleepover in like forever cause lilian stayed over, before that though marvin managed to pick me up flip me over and knock my head into the brick wall, i have a lump,

This morning we had our first ever flat outing, well there was no food in the house either that or we were all to scared to open the fridge cause it stinks to all hell!! sooo we went out for brekfast. nice

One life is never enough.

Ive been working hard and playing hard, the last two weekends have been contrasting in theme.

The weekend before last was a major booze hag/ party animal weekend.

and last weekend was a major, back to nature sublime beacehs and painfull hiking.

In the weeks ive basically been working hard for uni. as i only have 6 days left till everything is due, i was told that i dont have to do a portfoilo because i am an exchange student, but i told them back that that is a load of crap i am going to do one, i wast something to show fro myself in theese 6 months! this is a illustration i made for a postcard, it was nice doing design for fun illustrative purposes rather than “for the man”

On thurs i worked at the money order till 1am then hung around with Roy doing cash up and drinking pimms and lemonade till like 3 then went to bed, had work LAST DAY at don camillos 7am start, sooo not much sleep was to be had! as soon as i got home from work, Lauri and Jukka who were throwing a big party in st Kilda were at our house, see they needed our beastly sterio! so we all piled into the car with the sounds pumpibg yea you know the speakers were hooked up in the car, and we went on a beer mission, lots and lots of beer!

the party was pretty sweet, thet had people dj ing on the computer and whippin out some rocking tunes so we dances and we drank, it was a little too cold to swim, but we felt the water, the beachfront apartment was sooo full it was like a club. Lauri had a sweet new Fish eye lens!!

lol, when it got to like 3 someone started playing some slow old school tunes, possibly to get rid of the people but everyone rolled with it and started slow dancing and trance dancing, at first some of us tried to halt the downwars pace with some head banging but eventually reverted to the slow dancing! we got home at 5.30am, i was proud. cause Marvin always mocks me and my friends about finishing and going to bed at 10!

the next day i had work, but only at 4, sweet as, it was a busy night at the Money Order Office, all the more reason for the staff to get Crunk after work!! lol soo when we finished at 2am we had all ready been drinking the few hours prior, we headed to the Carlton club and FUCK. i am never gonna try and keep up with the hospo crowd ever again! there alcoholic’s!!! woah!! it was really fun though i wiord with a great crowd, he he, that night i really felt part of the cool Melbourne scene, the people i work with know all the bouncers and bartenders and cool people, and we never wait in line and we gety drinks cheap, and i get introduced to all these lanky indie cool boys who are nice to look at. at ilke 5 me and roy decided to walk home i think this was a good idea as i was very keen on taking advantage of the sexy drunk head chef from work. we stopped outside lounge bar caus roy was like lets have a dance, the bouncer was like na were closed, i saw his ponamu and i was like ‘aye you a kiwi,’ he was like “na kiwi lover!” lol and he let us in after 5 mins of trance dancing i was ready for bed, so i walked home, i got to bed at 6. real good effort! he he Roy fell off his bike on the way home.

sunday was the hottest day yet. I stayed in bed all day!

OK The Hiking weekend

Lillian, Ben, Maud and i went to Wilsons Prom, its about a national park about a 3 hour drive from Melbourne. We got there at about 5 on Thursday and set up our tents went for a walkie on the beach, made dinner on the bbq, steak, snags, and 6 onions. yum then it was dark so we went to bed. me and maud shared a tent, when she was out brushing her teeth i heard a rusteling, maud? maud? is that you . no answer, lilian? ben? are you trying to play a joke on me, but no it was my good friend, WOMBAT, and he found the door of the tent and he walked on in, FUCK OFF WOMBAT. i said and i banged the ground and screamed maud ive got no torch!! it didnt maul me, im alright, but i was a bit freaked out! after a great sleep on thin camping mattress we started our hike, 16km on the first day, woah, let me tell you after 1 k with that pack on my back i was ready to jump off the side of the cliff because i thought it would be a less painful way to get out of there, ahhh the luxury of being airlifted to a hospital, the idea so romanticized in my mind!!

after 10k we made it out to sealers cove, it was beautiful, we stopped for scroggon then tramped on to our destination, Refugee cove. We sat with our packs on the beach in the sun and it felt like we had just washed up we were the only ones around for miles. we went for a swim, made camp, made padta and pasta sauce for tea and watched the stars. the next morning lilian and ben got up at like 7 to cary on there 27km hike that day then 19km the next, There crazy! maud and i slept in untill 10 then hung aroung waiting for the sun to come out,we walked along the beach and along the rocks, the guy in the yacht in the bay offered us a lift to Hobart but we had to turn him down. soon the sun came out and we lay on the beach in our bikinis soaking it up. (with thick layers of sunblock of course.) after like 20 mins a gtoup of 7 eligible batchelors hiked past it seemed humourous that there was no one roulnd for miles that they would stumble upon us, they thaught that the yacht was ours!! wehee! unfortunatlkly after a small chat the sexy hikers had to press on there way so we lay back and bathed in the peacefull serenity untill two jet skis came round the corner then ther ws 4 then 7 then 15 jet skis all parking at our own private beach. we didnt give a shit about our serenity cause they offered us a ride!!! yehaa!!!

IT was great i have never been on a jet ski before, first we went with these two really old guys and they went really slow, then when we got in some other guys wanted to show us how it was really done so maud got on with some lovely old man with a grey ponytal, wild ones you can never trust, well the totally had a comnnection, he trusted her enough to let her drive!! woah!! i got on with a huge fat guy and i had to hold him for dear life to stop from flying of the thing, it was great fun, we got air, and did doughnuts and went really really fast!!

then we had to pack up camp and walk back the 6k to sealers cove, nothing was as fun after the thrill of jetsking! that night there were like 23 other tents at the Campsite and heaps of kids even though it was still like a 10k walk from anywhere!! crazy kids! next day up at 6.30 to do the last 10k back before it got too hot, not that it ended up getting hot that day. It was comforting that maud and i were both as pained as eachother when it came to hiking, we would complain and bitch but keep each other going. When we got to the end i was triumphant i had hiked 31Km and i had learned something valuable, I hate hiking, nex time i am going to visit the serene beaches by yacht!  we hobled like raped Grandmas to the cafe and waited for the others to finish ther hike. Im Glad i did it! more photos later, of scenery and flora and fauna and such, the others took better pics than me!!

Soo it all came together in the end for uni on thurs i handed in my work, and i was happy with it. i wasnt exstatic, my work is still not really cool enough to get noticed or anything here. theres some pretty stiff compitition. We got our new brief it is to design labels and packaging for a polish vodka, should be ok and also an intresting topic to research!

On thurs afternoon Lisa, Ara, Sarah, Wilson and I went on an Adventure! only my second time out of zone one! we decided to go to savers to celebrate hand in. for some reason we decided to go to the one that was the firthest away from town, so we went on an epic train journey about an hour to get to Frankston, which anyone  will tell ya is the Wop Wops. It was a cool ride though, me and lisa and wilson Chatted whilst sarah and ara watched good olde Flight of the Choncords, on the ipod, they would crack up like every two mins and everyone would look at them weird!! we got some sweet scores from savers then i lost my Nandos Virginity. my first time was a bit of a let down. But ya know ya gotta try!! We then had another long trip back, it was all good though, it was great hanging out with new people, there all really nice, I think wilsons cute but he smokes! gross.

By the time we got back to the city it was 9.30 time for me to meet up with the international Gang at THE CROFT INSTUITE this is a prety cool bar it is fitted out in the theme of an old hospital, and kinda scientific like tey have large glass vessles all round, the drinks menu, is a “chemical closet store list, and there is a hospital bed in the toilet!! Goot times as usual, i was having some king of argument that involved biting with a sweedsh lad, Roy was wasted and attacking me humping and stuff, crazy boy, we were two cheap to buy drinks from the bar cause they were soooo expensive and so we got some from the liquor store and stealthed them it, ohh and i licked two cocks! they were drawn on peoples hands, but i think thats all the action im gunna get here! lol, and i got the most funnest piggy back from Mo all the way down the street, and he didnt even drop me!! I had to protect Jorien from the german serial womaniser!! and i still didnt have the guts to ask two finnish guys i like out on a date, no not together, i just cant decide at the moment! which one i like better! aaggghhhh!! lol fun night went home early likw 1 cause i had work at 8 the next morn. ohh  on the way home me and amanda had our first pissing in an alley experience, it was very relieving!

Uni is Alright!

Soo for like the last week, (the mid semester break) i have been spending every evening at uni from like 4pm till 12. And as well as getting some work done i have actually made some uni friends too! I have produced a pretty sexy looking Catalog that i’m handing in today. Plus got marks back today for two assessments, i don’t really understand there system but i believe that a tick in the box as far away from failed as you can get is a good thing!

Ive been working at Don Camillos too early starts like 7 and 8. didn’t wake up one day, whoops, thats soo me! One night i caught up with maud, caus i missed her. I went to st Kilda and we met up and went for a lovley stroll along the track beside the beach, and we went and sat on the Jetty, no one knows what a jetty is here, Honestly, some people!! Then we went to this awesome resturant called “lentil as anything.” where the food dosnt have prices, you just pay what you feel is appropriate. sweet huh. i got some awesome curry, but maud wasnt satisfied with her tofu burger so we headed on to grilled, for fries! yum. its always fun to go there to perve on the guys that make the burgers, mmmmmm. then since st Kilda is famous for its cakes we went to one of the many cake shops. we got a chocolate éclair and a coconut cake. as well as being completly stuffed they were just plain gross. it was made better by the entertainment provided by the staff unintentionally. the lady was soo brilliantly white trash with her big blonde hair and apron, she proceded to put all the caces in the fridge where we suspected she kept them for weeks on end!, the shop was fitted out in the absolutly highest level of kitsch and not in a good way and then there was the emo who made the cofee, couldnt for the life of me figure if it was a boy or a girl.

Next day work, uni, then i kinda invited myself to dinner with some mates from my class. it was sweet we went to ara’s house and shee cooked us steak with mushrooms and heaps of other awesomr shit.. and about 6 of us hung out and watched movies and ate awesome asian snacks man they make every single flavour of puffed corn you can imagine, i was a big fan of the banana, it was my first time hanging with people from my class, out of uni! they are all asian, but then more than half my class is…

Last night i had sooo much fun. i auditioned for a part in the theater production of James and the Giant Peach. I love auditions, if only something would come of them.

now im at uni again deadline for architecture catalouge and poster is thurs at 1.30. scary

Gawd, where do i begin… catch up time…

K… On tuesday I baked Cakes… Me and Chris and Roy the cool neighbour chose a rocking playlist for the upcoming party! luckly it was like two to one against the trashy euro techno soo we got some good rock n there! when it hit midnight we all said happy bday to chris and they forced me to give them cakes, and so i did, they all sat there in heavenly bliss and that is how i succeed in arousing and fulfilling five males at one time, i think thats probably the best ive done!

Wednesday night was chris’ Party. I burnt my finger with hot oil, i met some new people. we danced we drank. Oh it was really funny Chris tried to charge people an entrance fee to his party!! $3 what a stupid amount! anyway we all told him it was a pretty shitty idea but he was absolutely sure of it!! it was hilariously he would get all mad and defensive every time we brought it up! then never ended up charging anyone!! oh and this party was different than the rest cause we had lights, fary lights, and a black light and redlight and bluelight and a green light, PIMP! at 4 we had rid the house of most the people… Marvin, Mo and I cleaned, a bit then we ordered Pizza delivery and ate it in bed!

Thursday due to my No Goon Diet i felt fine!!! yay I went to uni, that probally went as badly as a day ever has for me at uni,  I didnt really know what hw were supposed to have for crit, The tutor said to me “thats just not good enough Hazel!” soo all really encouraging!! yay i love uni! But thurs night was fun, we had a visit from our lovley landlord, she told us this was our second warning, we could not have raging mid week partys till 4am or people spewing on the neighbours doorstep or staying over on the couch, She told us our house stunk like beer and that three different neighbours had complained about us just this week!! next time we are going to be given 14 days notice then we have to get out!! But my friend Josi Invited me to come and see the opening night of a musical that her boyfriend had written. it was about the politics of the running of melbourne uni, quite hallarious really when presented as a musical.. it was great i was sitting next to fred who wrote it and he was like mouthing every word and getting really into it , they were both sooo nervous at the beginning. It was a mint show, really sweet outfits and live music, and it was great to see people of our generation, actually making a stand, a protest. i really enjoyed it.

soo i went home to get some sleep, but marvin convinced me to drink some wine with him  and watch a dvd, twas funny after like 2 glasses we were both, tipsy, crazy 15percent auzzie wine..

Friday when i woke up for woek at 7 i felt like the walking dead from lack of sleep. the whole time i was working i was looking foward to coming home and lying on the couch and watching Prison Break (on to first season now) it was totally worth it!! Then i made dinner for my friendey Jenny and we went to Pruedence wich is our local bar, it is like 30 steps from my door so a totally swet place to get crunk then crawl home… but thats not what we did, we just hung out and soaked up the atmosphere which is great, it is an old record shop that started selling beer and now evovoled into a bar that plays records,  we sat in the outdoor bit with fairy lights and chatted to some friendly auzzies who worked for the Lonley Planet Guide!

Hazel No GOON

I have finally made a stand, No more goon, it is always bad when your saying cheers heres to the hangover, well i am o-v-a-h Over it!! No more goon for me not that i am opposed to the 3 dollar bottles that taste exatcaly the same!! havent been un to anything really special to wite home about…

Had lovely dinner at lauras on wed, her and i cooked an epic vege lasagne, you see we all love having other round for dinner and stuff but is is such a mission cause we all have like either totally mini kitchens or no impliments, our biggest problem is that our biggest pot is like 10 cm in diamater!! ahhhh it is sooo painfull trying to cook like 3 loads of everything!! lol that was nice, we had drinks and stuff too, goon, it wasnt bad, tasted like juice, even the outcome wasnt disastorus but its just rank, i think im growing up!! lol! was funny when me and styen got home we both went to the freezer and got out our matching tubs of vanilla icecream and my choc mint sauce (hard top) and his choc and we just sat on the couch scoffing out of the tub! thats how we bond!! lol.

Thurs i have uni but only at 1.30 so wed always seems to be drinking night… i beleive every single time ive been to that class i have been a tad hungover!! lol, good times, the tutor is really cool, his name is helmut stencil, rockin name huh, any way every week he gives us bagges different ones, we only have a group of like 10 each week the badge means a differen thing, there has been individuality, and creativity and transparency, its a cool group, the people are cool enough, but ther really have no intrest in getting to know me, other than polite hello how are yous in class, oh well! ya win some ya loose some!

On thursday night we went to a pretty sweet exhibition it was painting and printmaking, it was called BIRD + HUMAN some sweet imagery, it seems easy enough to drag people along to exhibitions with me like 9 peeps came along, its a bit sad here though the booze at the exhibitions isint free!! its like a gold coin donation and shit like that, oh well, then we went to an asian restureant, i hat deep fried sushi!! he he weird, we went to this awesome club called the Carlton, it is all plush and there is red velvet booths all round and giant taxidermy’s like a huge ostrich with pearls and an even huger giraffe with glitter eyelashes, my friend Jukka fell for the giraffe and the glitter eyelashes big time, they are now in a relationship!! My finnish love Topi wasnt there so i hung out with his friends, I dont think he is ever gunna get the hint anyway, guys are sooooo stupid! anyway it was cool it was one of those clubs that it was really nice to just hang aroung in, i wasnt that drunk cause im way too stingy to buy drinks in bars!! but i liked stroking the velvet and hangiin out in the nice environment, i tried to take pics, but my camera is pretty shit when it comes to no flash photos which are the best, it has served me well but i do think it is time to upgrade!

Last night i had dinner at Amanda and Lisa house they live with 7 girls, its a nice change!! man girls talk about sex lots!! way more than guys, lol never really realized, it was hilarious!! Amanda made us all dump soup, Its the soup she makes for boyfriends before they subsequently dump here! it was pretty good, i didn’t dump her!!, Lucy were not weird, they hump legs too!!!! lol

My life is over…

Well, my life as a Prison Break Addict, i Have completed the 22 episodes of the second series,  that is alot of hours in one week, i have started, dreaming in an alternate prison break reality! Im sad and i will miss it but at the same time im glad its all over, i havent really socilised much in the last  week as i spent 35 hours working at Don Camillos and 22 hours watching prison break, Even so i had a great week!!  Back at uni today

Got to see Patrick again, hottt mmmmmm, but he cut off his hair!! sad, oh well i got his number, but only cause he is im my group.. cant write much, might look over my shoulder any min, Honestly like my ideal guy!! lol, love to have a perve!!
